THE RUSTY GUNS
The Rusty Guns are made up of 3 parts Texas, 1 part Appalachia, with their main stage located in New York City. They take the parts of an old time band when Rock 'n' Roll was young and simple with Guitar, Upright Bass, and Drums, but put gas on the fire with a driving Banjo added on top. They take familiar forms of 12-bar blues, country ballads, and bluegrass runs, elecrify and distort them with their amplifiers and make you stomp your feet harder than you ever have before. They sing songs about outlaws, heroes, trailblazers, lovers, and anything that speaks to the primal urges of humanity. Influences range wider than the Mississippi River, but to pick a few big ones out of the sky there's the story telling and stylings of Johnny Cash, Jack White, and Hank Williams, not to mention nods toward American greats like Earl Scruggs and Bela' Fleck.
